Třeboň Castle
Třeboň Castle is one of the largest castle complexes in the Czech Republic, and its current form is the work of Renaissance builders of the Rožmberk family, who built a grand noble residence here on the site of an original Gothic castle. Later, the castle was expanded with Baroque elements by the Schwarzenberg family, which gave the complex its present character.
The castle houses two historical exhibitions that present the lives of both important noble families. The Rožmberk Renaissance interiors map history up to the 17th century, while the exhibition Private Schwarzenberg Apartments shows aristocratic life at the end of the 19th century.
Among the most interesting spaces is the large Renaissance hall with a mirror vault, which is considered one of the architectural gems of the castle. The tour routes guide you through history, architecture, and the everyday life of the nobility in the Třeboň region.
Bohemia Regent
Regent Brewery in the historic centre of Třeboň is one of the oldest breweries in Central Europe, with a tradition dating back to the 14th century. Under the Bohemia Regent brand, it offers a wide range of beers in a unique setting near the Svět pond and the castle park.
